    The Word Hope
    (Cinquain Excerpt)

    An uplifting word is hope.
    It keeps your boat afloat.
    It lifts up your sails,
    Uncovers your veils,
    And sings a happy note.

    A strengthening word is hope.
It will always help you cope.
    To yourself be kind.
    Keep it in mind.
To hold on you need no rope.

    Hope, a wonderful word.
    Nothing about it absurd.

    Dear John,
I hope you forgive my not writing sooner.I was hoping to hear from you.
    We parted with angry words.
I hope we can forgive each other and continue our friendship.
Please call me so we can talk.
Biting my lip,I armored myself with hope, stamped and sealed the letter and put it in the mailbox.

    Words of Hope

Poet Emily Dickenson says hope is the thing with feathers. To me, this doesn’t make sense, although I like Emily Dickenson’s work. Hope isn’t an object you hold in your hands. It’s a feeling. During uncertain times, it’s a light at the end of the tunnel. Being a poet, I say hope is armor against despair.

    Hope
As a writer I love to tell stories. Where I have trouble is sending my work out into the world. When I feel
brave, I release my thoughts with a heart full of hope; that you, my reader will connect with what I share and feel my writing resonate within you. Come walk with me, hear my life song.
