    Who’s the Kitty King?

My cat ran off with my bandana
To that pumpkin. Whoa. That’s Giagana.

He grins,,turns and swishes his tail.
Then tries to hide behind the bail

Gotcha! “No I got you.” He does Say.”
“I’m the King. Now, Carry me Away.”

Not til I get my Candy Corn!
    “Humans and Sugar.. Oh, Me-Orn.”

Hush, Your Highness. Or I’ll put You Down.

    Remembering My Cat
    by Marlene Mesot

Mr. Kit Kat was gray and white.
He never did anything out of spite.
Calo canned food was his preference.
He’d knock the can from the cupboard to the floor with deference.

Mr. K was a good mouser for sure.
He’d proudly sit in the kitchen with it dead on the floor.
My mother would shriek with fright,
So I’d take it by the tail to get it out of sight.

    Candy and the Cat

Wearing my red bandana, I took my dog Candy Corn to the pumpkin patch, thinking there would be no harm in him following me while I selected the perfect pumpkin. Finding one I liked, as I stooped to pick it up, a cat leaped out from behind a bush, yowling. Barking, Candy chased him up a tree. Amused, I photographed the scene before determining the best way to rescue the cat.

    Bandana the cat
    Dozed in the sun
    A ginger tabby
    lazing in the pumpkin patch
    candy corn yellow eyes
    hooded, the sphinx
basking in the warm praise of Ra.

    The Cats Adventure with Bandanas,
    Candy Corn and Pumpkins.

The pumpkins, peeled, pureed and pickled,
are bunched in boxes with brilliant blue bandanas,
and covered in crispy candy corn.
They are then caught by the cats in colossal coffee cans.
that the Postal pumpkin promptly purveyed,
while bundled in a blue banded bandana.
    Copiously connected by candy corn
to cards, carried by cute cuddly kittens.
    Each pumpkin is carefully comported
    by joyfully jumping jugglers !
