Beyond Belief
A Brave but basically Compulsive Cat
Decides that Days Deserve
Enthralling Exploits
For Formidable Grumpy
Hopefully Hostile
Imaginary impish Jellyfish
kept Locked Mutely Near
Oversized Outdoor Pools,
Playing Quietly
With a Rotating Rooster
On a Snarky Structured
Tipping Treadmill ,
Unheard By a visionary
Whispering witisisms while
Xeroxing Yellow Zambonis !

Life With a Narcissist
Snarky words that bite,
She delivers with a smile.
Mixing Messages.
“If Mother’s happy,
Beyond one day in a month,”
Dad says, “Celebrate!”
Unhappy. Grumpy.
Oh, but its another’s fault.
Mantra? “If Only…”
“I love you,” she says.
Mother. Wife. Facade of Love.
inside, Hate of self.
Whispers and Secrets.
I’ll tell you, but don’t tell them.
She tells them the same.
Divide and Conquer.
Narcissism Perfected.
Loving her is hard.

Beyond the River Banks
11/04/2021
Beyond the peaceful river banks a predator lurked.
“Be careful. I smell danger.” Grumpy old GordonTtoad croaked. His snarky expression told everyone gathered that he felt himself to be in the know.
They heard Blue Waterfall whisper, “Come over here and I will cover you, shelter you.”
Bucky Beaver looked up from the structured dam he was patting into shape and asked, “What is it?”
Herman Hedge Hog huffed. “Humans.”
