Potato
(Sextet)
11/18/2021
Boiled potatoes simmer soft and savory.
Mashed potatoes taste great with gravy.
Sweet potatoes are succulent with cinnamon.
Ketchup flavors french fries out, in.
Potato salad compliments the tangy coleslaw.
Potato pancakes fluffy and light, awe.
But my absolute favorite, potato chips,
Are great plain or with dips.
Potato chips crinkle, crunchy, my delight.
My dog chews them up nice.
Thicken broth with shaved potato pieces.
The diced potatoes have no creases.
Needless to say I almost forgot,
To tell you about tater tots.
Then I turned around and said,
Don’t forget about Mr. Potato Head.
The hot potato in that game,
Do not drop it. No fame.
Put potato pieces in beef stew.
But better with rice, who knew?
Do not forget to bake potatoes,
Though they won’t take away woes.
Now that I’ve given you tips,
It’s time to eat potato chips.
