Human babytalk while she eats, I hiss to myself. Slinking cat-like to my food bowl, my green eyes widen at the empty bottom. Trilling, I wind my way between my human’s legs, brushing warmly against them. As her hands reach down, I spit and bolt. Meowing, I hop to the counter and leap unsuccessfully over dirty dishes causing a clatter to the floor. Now I’ve done it. Her favorite mug too. I wait. After she cleans up the dish demolition, I sit and eye her sandwich, then the pantry. Finally, I crunch contentedly on my food purring peacefully.
