For, to do so in such a world as we live in would surely dash all hope.
You’ve tenacity,
My friends say.
Yes, that’s my way.
I’m loquacious and lots of fun.
When I sing, I bring out the sun.
For me,
That’s how it’s done.
When my dog and I go out to work and play,
The fact that we’re not misanthropes makes people smile and shout hey!
With a bounce, wag and wave hello,
Chief Blue Dog and I spread fun wherever we go.

By Trish Hubschman

I’m going to play my favorite card game, Solitaire,
with my three best buddies,
Me, myself and I.
We’re going to do it down at Bob’s local Pub.
Place is always crowded on Friday nights.
I’m going to sit at a nice, dark corner table and watch the drunks make fools of themselves.
Hoot! Hoot!
This is going to be my evening of fun.
No one will bother me.
No one will notice me.
That’s the way I like it.
And the way I’m determined to keep it.

Playing outside, our fun was interrupted to learn we had to turn the other cheek. Then, enter the workplace to be told that the customer is always right.

As five crazy emojis spin in our heads, cynicism begins to creep in, and before we know it, we become misanthropes.

With tenacity for life using this tool, you will know peace and a joy-filled heart:

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the only person I can change is Me!

how could it possibly be Fun.
But perhaps I am mistaken,
and Misanthrope that I am,
whatever you’ve undertaken
I may not understand.
But that truly doesn’t matter
do it if you can !

Is the forest a misanthrope personality,
With enmity, lacking empathy?
What secrets await in cavernous spaces,
And hide in thick, dark woodland places?
What creature beseeches with mournful call,
To pounce upon the unsuspecting who has taken a fall?
Tenacious roots seek to confound,
Hiding beneath leaves and moss above hard ground.
Intending to survive, holding onto your will,
Knowledge and necessity walk hand in hand for skill.
In the wilds of the woods there is no fun,
As its captivating alure you try to outrun.
Kindness flees in the face,
Of the wildernesses rough embrace.
