    Nonsense Verse
    01/13/2023

    What could be worse
    Than nonsense verse?
    There is no recompense
For verse that makes no sense.

    It’s one thing to rhyme,
    Another to pine.
    So pick up your dreams
    And let go your schemes.

There is work to penning words.
    This concept is not absurd.

    Writing Prepares You for Life

My parents, both college English professors, believed that making students write papers of a certain length was nonsense. In a way, they’re right. Then again, authors must deal with word limits when submitting work for publication. Go figure!

It came to me one day in May. A puppy dog dove into a scattered bale of hay. Heigh small kitten jumped up to say, SkeeDaddle your silly puppy dog way. You have a catterpillar on the top of your nosey nose with a straw from this bouncy bale of hay. Diana McDonald Enjoy this dance with meee!!!

    This is nonsense
    By Trish Hubschman `

    I’m trying to do it,
    But it’s not working.
Will I be able to do it?
    I don’t know,
But I think I should keep trying.
    Some things I can’t do.
    I have my limitations.
    This is driving me crazy.
    It’s just plain nonsense.

“Nonsense,” they said of my dreams when I was young and full of hope.

“Bravo!” they said after years of practice honed my craft.

“Will you write another?” they asked after harsh reality burned me out.

“May we read your books?” my children asked the day I discovered success.

    Enjoy the Dance.

    Sometimes I carry-on during correspondence.
But be assured, I hear your comments.

Oh, you think it’s a bunch of nonsense?
Ha, I think it is masterful brain-sense.

    You hesitate.
    You wonder.
    I see your Glance.
    C’mon. Let’s break some rules,
    with a silly word-dance.
